Powerpop

Powerpop is a term popularized in the years 1990, indicating a Musical genre appeared as of the Années 1970. Rather than of a scene strictly speaking, made up of groups having a common past, it is about a term a little hold-all gathering many artists whose common point is a certain frame of mind.

The powerpop is characterized by melody S close relations of the pop, but in a spirit Rock, its recent version inherited the years Grunge, Rock psychedelic, to see metal.

The term was created by Pete Townshend, the guitarist of the Who during an interview in 1967 to indicate their type of music of the moment, between the roots Rythm and blues and the rock'n'roll operated Tommy.
