Powerful Edmond

Edmond Puissant (born with Renaix in 1860 and deceased with Mons in 1934) was a canon professor and archeologist. He also restored several castles and real hainuyers. Guided by a passion of collector, it was at the origin of the creation of two museums:

  • the Old Home;
  • Attacat.
It bequeathed its buildings and its collections to the Town of Mons. Those are currently in the Musée Powerful Canon.
