Power ballad
A power ballad is generally a slow song which one sometimes finds on an album of lethal Hard rock of heavy. The best example is Still Loving You of the group Scorpions.
Composition
Typically, a power ballad opens on a soft and melody air, with the Guitare or Synthétiseur. Later in the song, often after the refrain, the battery intervenes. Sound volume, and the dramatic effect which accompanies it increases further with the addition of a Electric guitar. The end of the song can be a paroxysm or a return to a state of calm of its opening.The specific Esthétique of the power ballad rests on
- the control of this rise to power;
- the dramatic effect of the voice;
- the alternation of instruments to the stamp clearly opposed to others, shouting or distorted sonority.
Out of nightclub, a power ballad is particularly adapted to the Slow S, because it is often sentimental, but especially because of its rather slow Tempo.
