PowerPC 603
The PowerPC 603 a Microprocessor founded on architecture RISC PowerPC, developed jointly by Apple, IBM and Motorola. Intended for the laptops and bottom-of-the-range, it belongs to the second generation of PowerPC (or G2) with the PowerPC 602, PowerPC 604 and PowerPC 620.
History
After the PowerPC 601, PowerPC 603 is the second processor based on architecture PowerPC. Consuming little energy, it was initially intended for the laptops, but it is mainly in the computers of office of line entry that it was used. It equipped the majority with the computers Apple general public between 1995 and 1998, with dimensions of the PowerPC 604 which equipped the professional machines.
