PowerBook 520c

The PowerBook 520c was launched with the PowerBook 520, 540 and 540c in May 1994. These models are a major change compared to the PowerBook of series 100. They were equipped with processor Motorola 68LC040, more powerful than the 68030 and of a battery more enduring of type NiMH . They brought moreover several functional innovations: a Trackpad like device of pointing (a first for a portable ), a port Ethernet, a slot PCMCIA (or PC Card ), a site for one second battery, a keyboard extended, screens allowing a posting into 640 by 480 (against 640 by 400 for the precedents PowerBook), or of the Loudspeaker S stereo.

The PowerBook 520c integrated a processor into 25 MHz, between 160 and 320 Mo of Hard drive and a screen LCD 9,5" color with passive matrix.
