Synopsis

For the birthday of her husband, Cynthia Monestier thinks of having found the gift ideal: an oil concession on the edges of the Orénoque. However, her husband discovers quickly that she was deceived by a swindler. To remake of this bad “investment”, it hopes that his/her daughter will manage to convince very rich Antoine, who is interested much in it, to repurchase “fabulous” the concession. But for the greatest misfortune of her father, at the same time, Patricia recruited a false husband in order to get rid of her fortunate sighing…

When the play at the origin of this film was assembled in 1952, it is Louis de Funès which held the role of the Master of hotel, here that of Christian Marin.
This film is the first collaboration between Louis de Funès and Jean Girault. Will follow more than ten films, of which celebrates it series of the Gendarmes of Saint-Tropez.
