Poudouvre

The Poudouvre is a country of High Brittany. It is delimited in the west by Arguenon, in the east by the Rance. Its name means " country of the eaux". In addition to Dinan, the capital, it includes/understands the towns of Dinard, Saint-Lunar, Saint-Briac, Lancieux, Saint-Jacut-of-the-sea on the coast (seaside resorts of the Emerald Coast), Plancoët, Pleurtuit, Plouër-on-Rancid, Saint-Samson-on-Rancid, Broons, Caulnes… It formed in the past a subdivision of the évêché of Saint-Malo.
