It was conceived in 1997 by French engineer Daniel Dalby. This single-seat ULM of formula " Louse of the sky " present the particuliarity to be built with a structure equivalent to that of a scale. The machine is available in kit or on plans thanks to the APEV, Association for the Promotion of the Flying Scales. The machine is generally motorized thanks to Rotax 447 of a power of 40 horses. However, like any machine of construction amateur, there exist many other motorizations.
There exist very many versions of the aircraft:
- Bipouchel, two-seater in side by side
- the hydroPouchel, Pouchel seaplane, still at the stage of prototype
- Pouchel Classic with a fuselage out of wooden
- Pouchelec with electric motorization, also at the stage of prototype.
History
Pouchel I was conceived in 1997 with traditional scales of the trade. It accomplished its first flight in 1999. In 2002, the manufacturer of scales, thrown into a panic by the extent of the movement " Pouchel" , decides to prohibit their use for manufacture of new extra-light. From this fold was born Pouchel II, more modern, and whose scales are manufactured by the manufacturer amateur thanks to sections.
