Pottery in wads
The pottery in wads is a very old and primary technique of the art of the Poterie. It consists in carrying out volumes by piling up long cylinders obtained while rolling a piece of plastic ground with the palm of the hand on a plane surface. The wads are closely bound by displacement of part of the periphery of clay with the fingers. The cylindrical section of the wad is thus modified according to the form which the potter wants to generate. This shaping makes once the pottery more solid dries.
