Potiphar

Potiphar or Putiphar (of the old Egyptian p3-Htp R `: the offering with Re) is, in the book of the Genèse, the officer of the Pharaon which buys like Esclave Joseph wire of Jacob. Its wife (of which the first name is not indicated) éprend of Joseph which refuses his advances, after which she shows it to have wanted to violate it and it is thrown in prison.
In the Coran, Potiphar is named Al Aziz, although this term can also indicate its high function (powerful Aziz meaning in Arab). In the Moslem tradition , his wife is named Zouleïkha.
