Pothos

In the Greek Mythology, Pothos (in Greek old Πόθος / Póthos ), wire of Aphrodite and Cronos (according to Philon de Byblos quoted by Eusèbe), or of Zephyr and Iris, personifies with his/her brother Eros, to which it is often comparable, the Desire in love that it is impassioned, burning, sensual or sexual.

It is one of the three winged gods of the Love known under the name of Érotes ( Ἔρωτες / Ếrôtes , “gods of the Love”). These three Érotes which is Pothos, Himéros and Eros, are often depicted together on the Greek ceramic . Later traditions mention a fourth god or genius of the Amour in the person of Antéros, personification or of the reciprocal Love or, a contrario , Love not shared, but always given for wire of Arès and Aphrodite. Pothos does not have any clean legend.
