The Postal Union of Americas, Spain and Portugal is a restricted union of the Universal postal union (UPU). Created in 1911, its seat is with Montevideo, in Uruguay.

The goal of this intergovernmental organization is to constitute a single postal space between its members, to facilitate the transport of the international mail. Its 27 members (since the accession of Portugal in 1991) are located mainly on the American continent, four are West-Indian islands ; the two old European colonial powers, Spain and Portugal, are members.

Its current initials are UPAEP (for Unión Postal of mow Américas, España there Portugal in Spanish) and PUASP (for Postal Union off the Americas, Spain and Portugal in English). Before 1991, these initials and names did not include/understand Portugal: UPAE and PUAS .

Following a decision with the congress of Havana of 1985, the UPAEP chooses the topic of a joint emission of postage stamps in which part of the postal administrations of the Member States takes part. Inspired by the emission Europa, this emission names emission America or America - UEAP.
