Postal Order of Merit
Created by decree dated November 14th 1953 in France, the postal Order of Merit was intended to reward the people being distinguished in the development from the activities for the Postes and Télécommunications, both in Metropolitan France in the Overseas territories or abroad.
The Order comprised three classes: Knight, Officer and Commander. It was managed by the Minister for the Posts and Télécommunications, assisted of the Council of the Order whose members were Commandeurs of right.
The jewel was carried out by the Muller engraver.
It was replaced by the National order of the Merit.
