Post Tenebras Lux

Post Tenebras Lux is a Phrase Latin E meaning After darkness, the light and sometimes translated into the light after darkness .

It is about a shortened version of the sentence Post will tenebras spero lucem (After darkness, I hope for the light) coming from the Vulgate of the Livre of Job.

The sentence is adopted like currency calvinist and is selected thereafter like currency of all the Protestant Réforme and of the town of adoption of Jean Calvin: Geneva. Like symbol of its role in the movement calvinist, the currency is engraved on the international Monument of the Reformation in Geneva and on the Mémorial of the huguenots to Franschhoek (South Africa).

Post Tenebras Lux was also the national currency Chile, before being replaced by the currency Spanish E Por the razón O the fuerza (By the reason or the force), and one of the two currencies of the Robert College, a American school located at Istanbul (Turkey).
