Post-alveolar consonant

A post-alveolar consonant , or more briefly post-alveolar , indicates, in Articulatory phonetics, a Consonne Apicale whose Lieu of articulation is at the level of the junction between the Alvéole S of the higher Mâchoire and the hard palate; it is carried out with the point of the language.

The French comprises thealveolar fricative ones (with initial of “chut! ”) and (with initial of “juice”).
