Portuguese highway A4
The Portuguese highway has 4 connects actuellemnt Matosinhos to IP4 on the level of Amarante while passing by Valongo, Paredes and Penafiel. It connects the northern littoral of the country inside northern parallel to the Douro. Its current length is of 60 kilometers. It is envisaged to initially prolong it until Vila Real (section with toll) then, in the second time until Quintanilha (free section). Its final length will be of 246 kilometers and its conclusion is planned for 2011.
