Porto-Vecchio
Porto-Vecchio ( Portivechju in Corsican Language) is a common French, located in the micro area of the Extreme South of the department of the Corse-du-Sud and the Corsica area .
Geography
Third town of Corsica in population, Porto-Vecchio is a seaside resort on the east coast of Corsica, on the trunk road N198, between Solenzara (in North) and Bonifacio (in the South), bordered in the West by the relief of Ospedale (1381m) and in the East by the Tyrrhenian Sea.It is particularly famous for its beaches: Fixed Rossa, Palombaggia, Santa-Giulia.

Economy
Porto-Vecchio has commercial managed by the Chamber of commerce and an industry port of Ajaccio and the Corse-du-Sud. It is the second Corsican port in term of goods traffic
History
It is the principal seat of civilization known as torréenne (IIIe and thousand-year-old IIe front J. - C.) of which remains in Porto-Vecchio the principal vestiges, with the locality éponyme, Torre. The current port founded or is undoubtedly taken again by the Greeks of Syracuse to the Life front century J. - C. and is located at the site of the “ Portus Syracusanus ” Roman.
