Portia of Rossi is an Australian actor born the January 31st 1973 with Geelong (Australia).
Biography
Portia of Rossi (of its true name Amanda Lee Rogers: she changes identity at 15 years), was born on July 31st 1973 in Geelond, in Australia. She studies the right to the university of Melbourne in the hope to become lawyer. At the same time, it poses like mannequin and decides to change its name, too banal in its eyes, in Portia of Rossi.
It is in 1994 that it is located by a director of casting which proposes to him the role of Giddy in the film Sirènes with Hugh Grant.
Between 1997 and 2002, its career takes its take-off. She interprets the role of beautiful and ambitious lawyer Nelle Porter in the series Ally McBeal , hated by her female colleagues who jalousent it.
In 2002, it decides to leave the series to be tested with the big screen. It then turns in films as varied as Scream 2 (1997) in which it interprets a coed, and in Stigmata (1999). In 2004, it is with the poster of the film Cursed of Wes Craven, the father of the trilogy Scream , at the sides of Christina Ricci and Joshua Jackson.
In spite of end McBeal the Ale, she does not forget her first loves and turns over to the small screen in the series Arrested Development whose 3rd season is currently diffused on the American chain Fox.
In 2007, it appears in the 5th season of Nip/Tuck.
