Portgas D. Ace

Portgas D. Ace (ポートガス・ D ・エース Pōtogasu D Ēsu) is a character of the Manga One Piece .

Ace is the big brother of Monkey D. Luffy, since it is its three year old groin, he left to the adventure to become pirate before three years. Its career is not really known, but now, it is the captain of the 2 fleet of White Barbe, the most powerful current pirate!

Luffy and Ace meet for the first time, since the departure of this last, in Alabasta. Ace is then challenged by Smoker, (which continues Luffy). These two-Ci are stopped by famished Luffy, which propels them out of the restaurant where they are. Smoker then tries to capture says it Luffy, but this one is to protect from the capacities of the colonel by his large-brother.

Ace continues in fact one of his/her own companions, Black Barbe, which was made guilty of the terrible murder of one of his/her comrades. Ace promises at the time of its departure with Luffy to find it in the New World (the second part of the Route of All the Dangers ).

Contrary to Luffy, Ace is definitely more polished and calmer (what with the gift of inaccuracy the crew of his little brother). However, like his brother and Garp, it seems more or less narcoleptic and also has a highly developed appetite. The fact that Luffy and Ace do not share same family name made think that he are only half-brothers, but for these two there, it does not have there a half which holds. Ace is recognizable with its tattooings, the first is that of White Beard which it wears with a great pride, and a strange ASCE, with the S barred (an error of the tattoer undoubtedly)!

Ace seems to deserve its place of lieutenant de White Barbe, in its childhood, Luffy in spite of its capacities forever been able to beat it with the brawl. But in addition to its formidable physical force, Ace ate the Mera Mera No Semi (the Pyrogenic Fruit of the Logia type), which confers the capacity to him to handle fire. This capacity, it controls it with very a great power, it proved it by destroying a half-dozen of boats of Works Baroque of only one blow, or by outclassing the team members of Black Beard completely. It would seem that this Fruit is antagonistic with the Smoke-producing Fruit of Smoker.

In the recent chapters, Ace was confronted with Black Barbe, which revealed its ambitions to him and the terrible capacity of the Yami Yami No Semi (the Fruit of Darkness ). It would seem that Ace lost its combat, but it is not on.
