Port side
Bâbord is the left side of a Navire, when one is placed in his axis and that one looks forwards (the Proue). Port side, as the majority of the nautical terms comes from Dutch and means that one makes back with the drift; contrary to starboard which means that one faces the drift. The red lights indicates port side.
