Port Jervis (New York)
Port Jervis is a city located in the State of New York. With the census of 2000, the population of the city rose with 8.860 inhabitants. The city is located at the place where the states of New York, the New Jersey and Pennsylvania meet. Port Jervis was in the beginning a port on the Hudson and Delaware Canal , and the city is also known under the name of River City , that is to say the city of the river.
The city is surrounded by Germantown and Huguenot , and the towns of Montague, New Jersey, and Matamoras, Pennsylvania are located near the city, behind the borders which separate the three states.
