Port-Maurice

Port-Maurice ( Oporto Maurizio in Italian) is, with Oneglia, one of the rioni (principal inhabited centers), which constituted the commune of Imperia (Ligurie) in 1923 and whose name refers to Maurice d' Agaune.

The fate of Port-Maurice was closely related to that of Genoa.

It is the town of birth of the painter of the school génoise, Gregorio de Ferrari.
