Porcheville
Porcheville is a common department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, in France.
The name of Porcheville comes from the Latin Villa porcariarum , the farm of the pig-keepers.
The inhabitants are called Porchevillois.
Geography
The commune of Porcheville is in edge of the Seine on Mantes-the-Pretty Right Bank of the river to seven kilometers in the east of . The territory, light inclined of north, étagenbat of 50 meters to approximately 20 meters, is in the alluvial plain. It strongly is urbanized and industrialized, but still preserves natural zones wooded on approximately 20% of its surface.
The habitat is concentrated in the borough located at the south-east of the commune close to the Seine. the north-eastern part is included in the industrial park of Limay-Porcheville.
The commune is served by the secondary road 146 which connects Gargeville to Limay. It is crossed by the Paris-Saint-Lazare railway - Mantes-the-Pretty via Argenteuil and served by the Gare of Issou - Porcheville. Particular junctions serve thermo plant EDF and the industrial park. A port deprived on the Seine serves the thermo plant.
The communes bordering are Issou in the North-East, the Wall-on-Seine and Guerville in the south, communes from which it is separated by the Seine, Limay in the east and Guitrancourt in north.
