Popcorn is a musical Composition, great classic and the first real success of the Electronic music.
It is in 1969 that appears for the first time Popcorn in the album of Gershon Kingsley entitled Music to moog by . An individual version of Popcorn is also published, with some additional effects compared to that of the album. The piece is then interpreted in 1972 by the group First Moog Quartet, formed by Gershon Kingsley. The same year, the group Hot Butter records a new version. Stan Free, which was a member of the First Moog Quartet plays the melody of Popcorn there. This version gains a great success very quickly and becomes number one of Hit Parade in several countries .
Recoveries
Since the success of Popcorn by Hot To ridge in 1972, of the hundreds of recoveries were made in the whole world, and today still Popcorn is regularly interpreted. - M&H Band in 1987. These versions are often allotted - wrongly - to Kraftwerk or Jean-Michel Jarre. To note that Jean-Michel Jarre actually interpreted Popcorn , but in 1973 and under the name of The Popcorn Orchestra . On the other hand, the group Kraftwerk left forever version of Popcorn .

- Boomtang Servant boys in 1999. This remix Techno is sometimes allotted to Aphex Twin, in particular on the Peer-to-peer networks.
