Pont de la Fontenette

The bridge of Fontenette is a Pont road and pedestrian on the Arve, located in the Canton of Geneva and connecting the communes of Geneva and Carouge, in Suisse.

Localization

The bridge of Fontenette is the fourth bridge upstream of Arve after its entry in Suisse and the second bridge (after that of the Val of Arve) connecting Carouge and Geneva. This bridge is thus named in reference to the district of Carouge called the “Fontenette” which is on left bank of the bridge and which includes/understands inter alia a sporting center as well as the public swimming pool of the same name.

History

In 1995, the access to the bridge from Right Bank was completely re-examined, in particular by the suppression of luminous fires and the installation of a Giratoire making it possible to flux the traffic.
