Pont Apollo

The bridge Apollo (in Slovak: Most Apollo ) is a Pont spanning the the Danube in the Capitale of the Slovakia, Bratislava.

He is baptized name of the Raffinerie of Pétrole Apollo located on left bank of the Fleuve in this sector before the Second world war.

The curved lines, the slope of the two vaults and the absence of right angles make the form geometrical of the bridge very soft.

During an operation without precedent, the metal structure of: 5240  ton S having to span the 231  m separating two banks, was turned across the river, starting from its building site, on left bank, towards its final position, a Pilier of 40  m on Right Bank.

The bridge was opened with the public the September 5th 2005.
