Pont Aeri

Pont Aeri is a Discothèque Catalan located at Vallgorguina (Province of Barcelona) and founded in 1992 by the brothers Escudero, more known under the pseudonyms Xavi Metralla and Skudero. The name is often shortened in Pont (delivery “ ponte ”).

With Frame, it was one of the first discotheques Makina. Most notable DJ makineros of Spain passed by there, of which Pastis (David Alvarez Tudela) & Buenri (David Pàmies Sabatés), which will give thereafter (1995) to the discotheque Xque its orientation makina. The DJ resident are currently four: two brothers DJ Skudero (Marc Escudero Gonzalvez) and DJ Xavi Metralla (Xavi Escudero Gonzalvez), DJ Sonic (Javi Rodriguez) and DJ SiSu (Narcis Castela).

Since 1998, the music which is played in the discotheque tends to change style, mixing Gabber and Makina. An orientation which will be accentuated with the passing of years with Javi Boss, Javi Aznar and Dani BPM, often invited and very present in compilations éponymes. Many then regards Pont Aeri as being the Spanish equivalent of Thunderdome, in particular the most demanding fans of Makina.

The success of Aeri Bridge extends a little everywhere in Europe, but it is with the Netherlands that compilations ( The turnip Masters , Hard Halloween , Gladiators ,…) are sold best. Many DJ of the Netherlands or Italy and not least then will mix là-bas : DJ Paul, DJ Isaac, DJ Panic, Endymion, The Stunned Guys and well of others.

Nevertheless, the discotheque has lost for a few years in popularité : the breathlessness of the movement Gabber in Spain (appeared well later that in the other European countries) but also the rejection of the hardcore by the makineros is the leading causes.
