Bridge-with-Poitte is a common French, located in the department of the the Jura and the area Franche-Comté. Its inhabitants are Pontois.

History

De Poitte… with Bridge-of-Poitte.

The birth of the village of Poitte is related to the Roman way which led to Geneva. Gradually, the importance of the hamlet of Bridge-of-Poitte has grows, thanks to imperial road RN 78. It is only in 1815 that the hamlets of the bridge of Poitte and Blesney amalgamate with the commune of Poitte to form one village: Bridge-of-Poitte.

The commune was served at the beginning of by the Secondary lines of the Jura.
