Geography

The Pond is born in the mounts from Drill, on the territory of Saint-Clement-with-Valorgue, in the Département of the Puy-de-Dôme not far from the limit of the department of the the Loire. It moves initially towards north during 4-5 kilometers. With the accesses of Saint-Anthème, it starts a broad loop towards the line (towards the east) which will make him take the direction of the east-south-east, after having penetrated the territory of the department of the the Loire. Arrived at Saint-Marcellin-in-Drill, it carries out a new loop, towards the left this time, and then takes the direction of the north-north-east, direction which it more or less maintains throughout the remainder of its course of 46 kilometers. It ends up being thrown in the Loire with Boisset-lès-Montrond.
