Pomaire
General information
Pomaire is a village of the area of Melipilla from which the name comes from the Incaica and who wants to say “cave of gangsters”.
It is located at 67km Santiago and 7 km of Melipilla.
Santiaguinos come here the weekend to take good air and to eat Empanadas, famous as being largest of the world weighing 500 G and even up to 1 kg.
Moreover, Pomaire is known for its Artisanat, consisted of objects out of sandstone like the chancho (pig-moneybox) and much of kitchen utensils.
