Polytechnic university of Ho-Chi-Minh-City
The polytechnic University of Ho-Chi-Minh-City (abbreviation: HCMUT) is a university member of National university of Ho-Chi-Minh-City, located at Ho-Chi-Minh-City, still indicated by much under the name of Phu Tho . It is the principal university in the activities of teaching and research of the Vietnam. The university plays the active role in the fields of the talents culture and labor to provide with strong technical qualifications to the southernmost area of Vietnam. HCMUT is a center of technology - industry and formation with management. The graduated students of HCMUT have strong professional qualifications, which equivalent are identified to those of other countries advances in the South-eastern Asia.
The activities of formation of HCMUT contributed the remarkable share to fulfill the requirements of the labor for industrialization and of modernization in Vietnam generally and the southernmost areas of Vietnam in particular. Moreover, HCMUT is also the center of transfer of research and technology of the science which plays the main role by providing information and by applying state-of-the-art technologies of the developed countries and the transfer to relate to industries in the southernmost areas of Vietnam. Until May 2005, HCMUT has 11 faculties, 10 research centres of 10 sciences and technology transfer, 4 training centres, 10 offices of operation and a limited company.
