Polygalaceae

The family of the Polygalacées is a family of plants Dicotylédone S. According to Watson & Dallwitz it includes/understands 800 Espèce S divided into 17 kind S:

  • Atroxima , Balgoya , Barnhartia , Bredemeyera , Carpolobia , Comesperma , Diclidanthera , Epirixanthes , Eriandra , Monnina , Monrosia , Moutabea , Muraltia , Nylandtia , Polygala , Salomonia , Securidaca .
They are trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants and some rare lianas of the areas moderated with tropical. In France, it is represented by herbaceous plants of the kind Polygala .

The phylogenetic classification of APG (1998) and APG II (2003) expande this family, by including the Xanthophyllacées, and locates it in the order of the Fabales .
