Polyeidos was Engineer Militaire originating in Thessalie, Polyeidos has work with Byzance, Rhodos and Mégalépolis, in the middle of the 4th century. He is the author of a treaty on the machines. Master of Charias and Dyads, inventor inter alia layout of the walls in teeth of saw, Polyeidos built a Hélépole and a tortoise suspension brace.
