Polydecte
In the Greek Mythology, Polydecte or Polydectès are the son of Éole (the ancestor éponyme of the Éoliens) and of a Naïade, and it has as a brother Dictys. With this last it settles in the island of Sérifos of which he becomes the king. It is near them which Danaé took refuge after the floods had thrown it with his/her son Persée on the shores of the island. Polydectés became in love with Danaé and it is to move away Persée, become adult, that it sent it to seek the head of Méduse under the pretext of offer one present for the marriage of Hippodamie, the girl of Œnomaos. Benefitting from the absence of Persée it then tried to misuse Danaé which escaped with Dictys. Persée on its return transformed it into stone statue by using the head of Jellyfish.
