Politis

Politis is a Hebdomadaire French of the anti-liberal Gauche treating political news and social, founded by Bernard Langlois, appearing Thursday. Denis Sieffert succeeded to him. This newspaper, being defined as altermondialist, citizen and of left, is founding member of association Attac - France.

Several sensitivities are expressed there left of the PS to LCR while passing by the Greens, PC, Attac, MRC, the MARCH, Alternate the, etc

Near to the ecology policy, the magazine a long time had very precarious finances, before a leading revival supported by an acquisition of a holding of 34% in the capital by diplomatic Le Monde .

August 8th, 2006, the newspaper was placed in File for bankruptcy. The shareholder had a presentiment of for the installation of the recovery plan being desisted, association “For Politis ” was created in order to save the newspaper. It made it possible to collect more 970 000 € near readers and thus to save the newspaper.

Before November 15th, 2006, the newspaper was published by SAS Politis, a simplified Joint stock company with the capital of: 300000 euros whose principal shareholders were the Association for the defense of the plurality of the press, Doxa SAS and diplomatic Le Monde . The newspaper from now on is published by Politis, a simplified Joint stock company with the capital of: 446000 euros. Among his shareholders, one finds association “For Politis ”, like Christophe Kantcheff, Denis Sieffert, Pascal Boniface, Laurent Chemla, Valentine Lacambre and Jean-Louis Gueydon the Divine ones.
