Polin
Polin (born Pierre-Paul Marsalés the August 13rd 1863 with Paris - deceased the June 8th 1927 with the Hoop-on-Seine, Seine-et-Oise), was a Chanteur of Café-concert French.
Polin made its beginnings in Paris in local cinemas (Concert of the Seedbed, 1886; Concert of the Point of the Day) before occurring in important rooms pluis (Eden-Concert, Alcazar of summer). Arrived at notoriety, he sings with the Ambassadeurs, then, during twenty years, with the Scala, boulevard of Strasbourg. He specializes in the Comique troupier, a kind where already Ouvrard father excelled. Its greater successes are P' tit Objet (of Vincent Scotto), the Cashier of the Large Coffee , the Friend Bidasse , Small Tonkinoise (pre" mier success of Vincent Scotto). The comic troupiers of the following generation (Bach, Raimu, Fernandel) will take as a starting point him. After the First World War, it appears with the Theater ( the Large Duke , 1921). Its interpretations were sober, and aimed to the nuance and the smoothness; of this fact they sliced with the tradition of the café concert.
