Polder Anna Paulowna

The Polder Anna Paulowna is a Polder on the common of Anna Paulowna to the Netherlands. The polder makes 5000 Hectare and is an important horticultural sector .

Anna Paulownapolder is inhabited between VIIe and XIIe century by emigrants of the Gueldre and it Frise. They lived with the site of the current hamlets of Westeinde and Gelderse Buurt. The place was abandoned following tempète and of floods.

During the creation of the polder of Zijpe to the XVIe century of other sectors were drained slowly. Anna Paulownapolder fur définitevement drained with private funds.
