Polaris is a Roleplay created by Philippe Tessier whose first edition was published by the company Halloween Concept, the second by Darwin Project and the third by Black Book in December 2007.
Presentation
Polaris is an apocalyptic roleplay post whose action proceeds on our planet, but in a future distance. Following a major climatic upheaval, the oceans suddenly went up recovering the emerged grounds partly, the air became unbreathable for the human beings, the harmful rays of the sun, the acid rains, fauna and the flora transferred in order to adapt to these new conditions and surviving humanity took refuge under the oceans. Surface become uninhabitable, is from now on a place in prey with chaos, or the plants carnivores cotoient monsters and or the tornadoes and the maelstrom of energy sweep the desert plains.
During thousand years, the Geneticists reigned as absolute masters on this underwater world become the last refuge of a driven out humanity of surface. To survive they were based on a technology very advanced, creating gigantic stations under marine ultra sophisticated and resistant to the pressure of the great depths.
When the Empire of the Geneticists crumbled, embanked by Alliance Blues, the oceans became the battle field of multiple factions which between-tore for the capacity. Five centuries later, of the thousands of communities were established on sea-beds, in the shade of States and organizations which try to survive in a hostile universe.
Nations, groups and factions of Polaris
From this destroying conflict, six great nations emerged. Other factions were formed, thus creating a multitude of states of which some are completely world cups outside.
Great dominant nations
the Hegemony , most powerful of these nations, controls the abyssals zone in the East of old North America. Directed by the mysterious Patriarchs, kind of Half Gods to the eyes of the population, it dreams only of conquests and to be able. Under the Patriarchs is the High Admiral Viramis, supreme leader of the army, it is also a charismatic representative, who however put at back the secret service of the Prism. The capital of Hegemony is Keriss, a city covered with a Dome.
the Red League , whose influence extends on all the west coast from South America, is a growing old nation whose main force lies in its commercial fleet. Contrary to Hegemony, the Red League does not have a very high level of technology, and some of its stations are in bad condition.
the Republic of the Coral is established on sea-beds of old Australia. It maintains a strange relation with the thinking Corals which cover most of its territory. The population of the Republic of the Coral is mainly made up of women and polygamy is encouraged there.
Polar Alliance , whose capital rises in the depths of the underwater mountain of Arlis, in the north of old Russia, controls cybernetic science.
the Worship of the Trident manages the Neutre city of Équinoxe located on the Threshold of Rockall. It is guaranteeing peace at the bottom of the seas thanks to the international troops of the Watchers. Its priests control also the mysterious Polaris force whose power seems unlimited.
And finally the Mediterranean Union located at the south of old Europe, is smallest of the nations under navy. What does not prevent it from having a state-of-the-art technology competing directly with Hegemony.

The other communities after a fashion try to prepare a better future. While waiting, they must fight permanently against the marine monsters, the hordes of pirates, political handling of the great nations and the people of the Borers, who lives under ground and which one does not know large-thing. They are also with the catches with the genetic degeneration and terrifying it virus of sterility which threatens to destroy the human last.
Races
The human body has to adapt gradually to its new living conditions. Naturally or artificially, of new races the day but the human remainder saw to date the dominant race in sea-beds.
Human : It is the race " basic ". In term of play it brings neither favors, nor disadvantage.
the natural hybrid : The natural hybrids are beings born with the ability to be able to breathe and be driven under water without difficulty. On the other hand with dryness the natural hybrids are particularly handicapped since they do not support heat.
the perfect hybrid : the perfect hybrids are creations of the worship of the three-pronged fork.
Hybrid Techno : The techno hybrid are the human ones having sacrificed their humanity to be able to survive in the seamen circle. Following the example natural hybrid, the hybrid techno is favoured under water but not with dryness. Moreover its change is particularly visible and its disproportionate gauge prevents it from moving easily, in stations with the narrow gangways. The hybrid techno all are resulting from the laboratories of Hegemony, they are used thus as troops with the nation of the Patriarchs.
