Polar region
The polar regions of the Earth are the zones of the sphere surrounding the poles and with of both polar circles which is the Arctic Cercle in the northern Hemisphere and the Cercle the Antarctic in the Southern hemisphere. These areas being centered on the North pole and the South pole, they are covered by the caps refrigerators, are located respectively on the Arctic Ocean and the continent the Antarctic.

In general in this zone, the temperature does not exceed the 10 degrees Celsius in summer, i.e. that the polar zone is included in the zone under the bar Isotherme of the 10°C during the summer.
The Arctic zone
In the Arctic zone , the vegetable Formation is typical cold zones: Tundra and Taïga. The Arctic Faune is also composed of cold species adapted like the Renne, Herbivore of the Taïga and the Toundra, and more in north the Phoque, Carnivore living fishing, or the Polar bear, Chasseur of the seal.
The zone the Antarctic
The zone does not know a Végétation, just a Faune living maritime medium (example: Emperor penquin).
