Polar (at the registry office Emilie Marie Bouchaud), Singer and Actress French, born the May 14th 1874 with Algiers in Algeria, deceased the October 14th 1939 with Champigny-sur-Marne.

It came to Paris at 17 years, in 1891, to join her brother who exerted there with the variety. She had already sung in coffees in Algiers and continued on this way. She pointed out herself by her particular physique (an exceptional size of wasp) and manners at the very least causing. She was in particular the friend of Colette (she held with the theater the role of Claudine in Claudine in Paris with the Puff out-Parisian in 1902). She occurred with the the United States in 1910, then with London.

She had also posed for the painters Henri of Toulouse-Lautrec, Leonetto Cappiello and Rupert Carabin.

As from 1909, she also interpreted several roles with the cinema (perhaps, occasionally, under the pseudonym of Pauline Polaire ).

After the Great War it was devoted especially to the theater.

She interpreted Tha my ruffle boom di He (its greater success, with its whole beginnings), Lime (on a poem of Jean Richepin), Tchique tchic of Vincent Scotto, and recited to the Charlotte requests Notre-Dame Jehan Rictus.
