Pola Negri
Pola Negri ( Barbara Apolonia Chałupiec ) (January 3rd 1897, Lipno, Poland - 1987, San Antonio, Texas (the United States)) Polish actress of the Silent film, Maria with Seraincourt the May 14th 1927 with the prince Serge Mdivani. Ruined by the financial krack of 1929, it sold the castle of Rueil and, in 1941, it settled definitively in the United States. It took American nationality in 1951. She lived to the 6933, Hollywood Boulevard.
She had to pass from the Danse to the Cinéma because of a lesion and will work for realizers like Ernst Lubitsch and at the sides of actors like Charles Chaplin or Rudolph Valentino.
Its popularity starts to disappear after the years 1930 and one compares it with the character of Norma Desmond film Boulevard of the twilight . She dies of one pneumonia at the 92 years age by almost giving all her inheritance to the St Mary' S University. She is buried with the Calvary Cemetery with Los Angeles.
