Close-cropped the face (in summary: RLF) is an associative network French created in 1990 following the call of the 250 with an aim of fighting against the National front and its ideas. The network is generally classified with the extreme-left.

Object of the network

This organization has for vocation to create and stimulate a “resistance movement and of vigilance” against what she regards as Fascisme. She addresses to the Citoyens, associations, the Syndicats and the Political parties to fight the National front, her allies and the parties considered as defendant the same ideas.

This network wants to be independent politically and financially. It is composed of autonomous collectives, and thus acts in a local way, where ideas that it regards as fascisantes develop. Short-nap cloth the Face uses several means of action:

  • strong” and media actions “against the National front or its ideas. Most known a streamer since the roof of the Opéra on May 1st 1995 consisted in unrolling, whereas Jean-Marie Le Pen made her speech in front of its militants.
  • the communication towards the public, by propaganda brochure distribution, sale of a semi-monthly published by association (on subscription), and by the animation of the various collectives.
Association also publishes works to denounce the ideas and the actions of the National front, as to take part in the reflection on the ideologies which he regards as fascisantes.

“Close-cropped the Face” meets however a particular echo in the Extreme left, and particularly with the Communist revolutionary league, from which would come a certain number of its militants. The network is sometimes classified with the extreme-left.

Controversies

In 1997, a stand of the Living room of the Book held by National-Hebdo , newspaper connected with the National front, is put at bag by people claiming association.

The journalist of extreme right-hand side Emmanuel Ratier estimates that the movement is of inspiration Trotskyste and that it instrumentalise the combat antifascist in order to handle the young people.

In May 2007, Ras the face was condemned for public slandering after having invited in 2005 to express against a conference given by the Fondation Jerome Lejeune.

In January 1997, Jean-Marie Le Pen had been condemned to pour frank a symbolic system with association to have qualified it “movement of killers of cops”.
