India
- Died of Ashoka to Taxila (Pakistan). Its sons Mahendra, Kunala and Jalauka succeed to him but do not manage to maintain the integrity of the empire because of their fights. Kunala reign eight years on the center and the west of the empire. Jalauka reign on the Cashmere and appendix the area of Delhi. The governors of province, generally family members imperial, benefit from it to make themselves independent. The grandson of Ashoka, Samprati, will not reign any more but on the country of origin, the Maghada.
- Kunala had the eyes burst on the order of his/her Asoka father at the instigation of one of its wives jealous.

- Ashoka, emperor Maurya
