Point of Grouin
The point of Grouin is the point more in north of Cancale. In its prolongation the Phare of Pierre-of-Herpin is which would count more 1000 couples of Goéland S.
The reserve is managed by Alive-SEPNB Brittany association since 1961.
In addition to the abrit of important colonies of marine birds, the characteristic of this island lies in its poly-stratée appearance. Indeed, of the natural layers of algae, of black lichens, yellow lichens and plants halophytes superimpose themselves and are different rather clearly. The island irradiated by the sun diffuse of the rather fantastic hot colors more especially as the horizon shows a bay of the Mount St Michel often leaded by a black sky.
The species of birds listed on the site are
