Pohorje

The Pohorje (German: Bachergebirge ) is a solid mass of the Eastern Préalpes Southerners. It rises in Slovenia (Low-Styrie).

It belongs to the whole of the the Alps juliennes.

The Črni vrh is the culminating point of the solid mass.

Geography

Situation

The solid mass is located at the south of the Drave.

It is surrounded of the the Alps de Lavanttal in north, of the Karavanke in the North-West and the the kamnic Alps in south-west.

Geology

The solid mass consists of metamorphic rocks: Gneiss and Granite. However, the forests which entirely recover the heights give him airs of medium mountains.

The Vigne is cultivated on the slopes of the solid mass and gives one of best the Vin S of the Styrie.
