Poggio-di-Nazza
Poggio-di-Nazza ( U Poghju di Nazza in Corsican Language) is a common French, located in the department of the Haute-Corse and the Corsica area .
Geography
In the microrégion of the Fiumorbo, in the Canton of Ghisoni.
The commune is delimited in north by Kyrie eleison, in the east by Fium' orbu (river), in the south by the low part of the village of Aghjola, and in the west by a solid mass including/understanding Punta di Taoria.
She is surrounded by the communes of Ghisoni, of Lugo di Nazza, Ghisonaccia, Prunelli di Fiumorbo, and of Isolacciu di Fium' orbu.
The commune also belongs to the Regional natural park of Corsica.
History
1st historical reference:
1267: The Lord of Poggio-di-Nazza is combined with the lords cinarchesi.
Authentic anecdote: Because of an old territorial claim of managed of this village on all the owls which count the island, the inhabitants are called " I Ciocci Pughjesi" , the owls poggiolais.
