Didier Van Cauwelaert is a writer French, born the July 29th 1960 with Nice, resulting from a family having Belgian origins.

Biography

Its literary ambition is early: he writes a whodunnit at eight years, unquestionable to be published at Gallimard. Success, of course, is not immediate… It must wait a few years before receiving the Prix Goncourt for an one-way ticket (1994) but as of 1982, its novels is greeted by the critic and obtains literary rewards.

Admiror of Marcel Aymé and Romain Gary, novelist, playwright and scenario writer, Van Cauwelaert is the author of an abundant work which touches many people by his Humor, his tenderness and his generosity. If the intrigues quickly are forgotten, one keeps his novels the portraits of characters out of the commun run or very ordinary, and especially, a simple impression of happiness where the finer feelingss do not have anything of denied.

Anecdote
