Pochote

Pochote is a coastal small village (Pacific Ocean) of the Costa Rica, which counts very few inhabitants (approximately 60). It is encircled by a Mangrove (forest of mangroves baigant in sea water, left exotic marsh) which nibbles little by little the ground. Its name comes to him from a tree, Bombacopsis quinata, usually called Pochote or Saqui-saqui. This village belongs to the Peninsula of Nicoya, and is not far from Tambor or of Paquera.
