A pneumopathy is a Pathologie pulmonary fabric. Etymologiquement it acts of a disease (- pathy) of the lungs (pneumo-) or pneumopathic to the general direction of the term. Commonly, the term is often used, to indicate an infection of the lungs.

Etiology

The etiologies many and are varied:

• bacterial or viral Infection, most frequent (80 to 90%). The germs most often found, are, by order descending, the Streptococcus pneumoniae, the Haemophilus influenzae, Legionella pneumophila, Mycoplasma pneumoniae and the Influenzae virus has.

Diagnosis

Treatment

A basic treatment by antibiothérapie is necessary, except in the event of viral infection. With regard to the side effects, a dietetic mode (for certain people perhaps), of oxygen treatment and calming (Cough) can be prescribed, of the meetings of kiné in order to help " the malade" with better breathing. The sitting position is adapted better: indeed, lying, it is hard to be oxygenated.
