Pluviometric quotient
The pluviometric quotient or climatic index of Emberger is used to define the five various types of Mediterranean climates, since most arid, until that of high mountain, climates that only the Morocco in the Mediterranean region, has entirely.
This quotient is defined by the formula:
- Q quotient pluviometric of Emberger
- M the average temperature of the hottest month in degree Kelvin
- m the average temperature of the freshest month in degree Kelvin
- P annual pluviometry in mm
